The Director of Spiritual Formation and Discipleship will oversee Spiritual Formation and Discipleship on The Woodlands Campus. This includes Bands, Mentorship, Home Groups, and Singles Ministry. This role works in collaboration with central staff and in alignment with The Woodlands Methodist Church’s mission to reach people for Jesus Christ, disciple them in faith, and help those in need.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop Ministry Culture: Design and implement innovative programming to encourage spiritual growth across the congregation.
  • Educate and Train: Inform and equip the church through speaking, teaching, and training on formation and discipleship best practices.
  • Oversee Ministry Areas: Oversee Spiritual Formation areas such as Bands, Mentorship, Home Groups and Singles Ministry.
  • Collaborate with Leadership:
    • Regularly meet with the Pastor of Discipleship and Spiritual Formation to define vision and strategy.
    • Provide guidance and oversight to formation and discipleship coordinators, ensuring alignment and consistent communication.
  • Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit, train and develop lay leaders to support ministry programs.
  • Curriculum Oversight: Approve and develop formation and discipleship resources and curriculum.
  • Date-Driven Growth: Analyze participation trends and ministry data to refine strategies and ensure growth.
  • Resource Management: Manage ministry budgets and ensure adherence to policies, timelines, and church resource guidelines.
  • Collaborative Partnerships: Work with other ministry teams and service partners to align efforts and maximize impact.

The Facilities Technician Level 1 will monitor the campus for building maintenance items, safety issues, prohibited or concerning behavior of persons throughout the campus, respond to emergency situations to minimize risk and / or loss to buildings, property or persons.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide a safe environment for staff and visitors of TWMC. This includes:

  • Assist facilities maintenance technicians with assigned campus maintenance needs.
  • Daily unlocking and locking of facility (verify campus is secure before leaving at night).
  • Respond to onsite emergencies and assist including first aid and calling for backup as needed (e.g., 911).
  • Gather information and witness statements, complete incident reports following campus events.
  • Inspect Company vehicles for safety and cleanliness and clean as needed.
  • Check out vehicles to approved drivers and perform pre- and post-use inspections.
  • Watch video surveillance system and identify issues needing a response.
  • Monitor the campus life safety systems and aid in their operation, testing and function.
  • Maintain a constant awareness of people and events happening on campus.

The HR Administrator provides comprehensive support for the Human Resources department by managing core HR functions, assisting the Director of HR, administering payroll and benefits, and fostering positive employee relations. This role requires an initiative-taking and detail-oriented professional who can maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and contribute to a positive workplace culture.

KEY FUNCTIONS

    1. Human Resources Functions
      • Recruitment and Hiring:
        • Manages recruitment efforts by posting jobs, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews.
        • Collaborates with department managers to determine skills and competencies required for open positions.
        • Oversees employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including conducting orientations, preparing documentation, and managing exit interviews.
      • Employee Administration:

    3. Payroll and Benefits Administration Functions Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll, manages employee compensation, and oversees benefits programs to support staff well-being and compliance. This is a shared function with the HR Generalist. Responsibilities include:
      • Payroll Processing: Accurately calculates employee wages, salaries, overtime, and deductions. Ensures payroll is processed on schedule and in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Manages payroll-related inquiries and resolves discrepancies promptly.
      • Benefits Administration: Administers employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, and paid leave policies. Conducts benefits enrollment and serves as a liaison between employees and benefits providers. Ensures compliance with applicable laws, such as the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
      • Reporting and Documentation: Maintains accurate payroll and benefits records, including tax forms and compliance documentation. Generates and submits required reports to government agencies, leadership, and external partners.
      • Employee Support: Educates employees about available benefits and assists them with enrollment, changes, or claims processes.
    4. General Employee Relations: focuses on fostering a positive and productive work environment by addressing employee concerns, promoting fair practices, and building strong relationships between staff and leadership.

The Media Tech will work alongside their fellow techs to provide technical services to church ministry clients and guests. This position is integrated into a team where participation in all events and tasks will be expected as assigned, however, there will be heavy emphasis on campus support for all campuses of The Woodlands Methodist Church. This role works in collaboration with central staff and in alignment with TWMC’s mission to reach people for Jesus Christ, disciple them in faith and help those in need.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work with the Scheduling Manager to support ministry events on church campuses.
  • Operate an audio console during services each week.
  • Transport and perform AVL system setup on a weekly basis.
  • Thoroughly check AVL systems for any needed maintenance or programming changes.
  • Personally perform basic maintenance needs such as troubleshooting audio/video signal flow. Follow industry safety standards in all situations such as working at heights and rigging of AVL gear.
  • Maintain equipment inventory in multiple locations that requires diligence in proper storage, purchasing, and communication of additional needs to your supervisor.
  • Perform duties that fall outside of the audio category such as running lighting or graphics for a worship service, building video screens, or assisting in a scenic construction project when requested.

The Early Childhood Ministry Lead supports the development of a dynamic ministry for children ages three through kindergarten. In collaboration with the NextGen Kids Lead Shepherd and in alignment with The Woodlands Methodist Church’s (TWMC) mission to win people to Jesus Christ, disciple them in faith, and help those in need.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide essential support for the overall function of the early childhood ministry, age three through kindergarten.
  • Plan and execute the teaching of Sunday morning programming.
  • Support creating a culture where volunteers love to serve by assisting the Lead Shepherd and volunteers in conducting their mission and programs.
  • Oversee administrative and operational needs of the early childhood ministry, freeing the Lead Shepherd to provide pastoral leadership and care for volunteers and children.
  • Collaborate with the leaders and volunteers in conducting the mission, goals, and values of Next Gen Ministries and The Woodlands Methodist Church (TWMC).
  • Support the Lead Shepherd and the NextGen Ministry team in developing a unified approach to children’s ministry.
  • Collaborate with the Special Blessings team to support families of kids with special needs.
  • Provide guidance to interns on Sunday mornings.

TWMS Athletics Coach will guide our student athletes and teach them the correct way to participate in sports. This position will study the rules, techniques and other technical aspects of a game. TWMS Athletics Coach will formulate training plans and look at areas such as the athlete and team’s performance, nutrition, educational performance at school and issues they may be having at home. A TWMS Athletics Coach will mentor our young athletes in the sport as well as their journey of faith.

The Athletics Coach reports to the Director of Athletics.

SCOPE

Work with and supervise students participating in before and after school Eagle Club. Students will be engaging in art, recreation, games, playground activities and self-directed homework.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be available for a shift from 7:15 - 8:30 a.m. and / or 3:00 - 5:45 p.m. on any/all days Monday – Friday. Days/schedules are flexible, but dependability is critical.
  • Help with arrival and dismissal to Eagle Club and ensure accurate student sign-in/sign-out records are maintained.
  • Follow daily plans in meeting with the school philosophy and policies.
  • Cooperate with the Head of School, Enrichment Facilitator and Eagle Club Lead in all Eagle Club activities.

SCOPE

The Woodlands Methodist School (TWMS), an outreach of The Woodlands Methodist Church (TWMC), is currently seeking candidates for a Classroom Assistant position in an elementary school classroom for the 2025-2026 school year. This position is responsible for supporting the classroom teacher.

The Woodlands Methodist School (TWMS), an outreach of The Woodlands Methodist Church (TWMC), is currently seeking candidates for an Elementary Teacher position for the 2025-2026 school year. The Teacher is responsible for providing the best possible learning environment for children assigned to the class by supporting the mission of the school.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education
  • Must hold a valid Texas teaching certification
  • Good communication skills
  • Committed Christian, comfortable sharing their faith with students and families
  • Must meet background check requirements, which include fingerprinting and an extensive criminal history search

JOB DUTIES

Shall include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Create and maintain a classroom setting that meets accreditation expectations
  • Write and teach weekly lesson plans including skills and concepts based on the TEKS
  • Work directly with children to meet individual needs and provide differentiated instruction
  • Plan with and clarify expectations for the classroom assistant and any support staff or volunteers who may be assigned to the class
  • Keep individual records for each child as specified
  • Send weekly communication to families
  • Schedule parent conferences twice a year, and be available for additional conferences as needed or requested
  • Care for rooms and equipment. Report items needing repair or replacement and submit requests for additional equipment, materials, and supplies
  • Cooperate with other church ministries who share the room
  • Attend staff meetings and scheduled team meetings
  • Meet school requirements for in-service training and professional growth
  • Inform the Director of Elementary School or the Head of School in cases of unreasonable behavior, parent complaints, or other problems which should be handled by administration in the best interest of the school
  • Assist the Director of Elementary School with selecting appropriate resources to support the overall school curriculum, including resources that support Christian Education
  • Attend annual school wide events
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

  • Proficient in technology and possess the ability to integrate technology into the classroom environment
  • The French Teacher will instruct 7th and 8th grade students for French I (high school) credit
  • Good communication skills

JOB DUTIES

  • Create and execute weekly lesson plans reflecting individual student needs and hands-on learning activities while maintaining the developmental philosophy of the program. Lesson plans should include TEKS.

  • Collaborate with the Head of School, Directors of Middle and Elementary School, and other staff in those activities involving the whole program.
  • Meet church and school requirements for in-service training and professional growth in a timely manner.
  • Plan with and clarify expectations for any support staff or volunteer who may be assigned to the class.
  • Maintain curriculum and classroom standards using technology and integrate this into the classroom instruction.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Developing plans for student care based on assessment, interventions, and identification of outcomes, and the evaluation of care
  • Cares for students with chronic illnesses developing a health care plan with the physician and parents. Communicates and coordinates the needs of the student with the teachers
  • Provide care for students with acute illnesses and injuries
  • Monitoring immunizations, managing communicable diseases, and assessing the school environment to prevent injury and ensure safety
  • Overseeing infection control measures
  • Actively participating in school safety plans that address school violence, bullying, and emergencies that may occur at school
  • Overseeing medication administration, health care procedures, and the development of healthcare plans
  • Making decisions related to the delegation of healthcare tasks as directed by state laws and professional practice guidance
  • Providing health advice to school educational teams, such as the Counselor and Developmental Specialist teams in developing plans and IP’s for students.
  • Assists in maintaining first aid kits for each classroom
  • First responder for life threatening emergencies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and current Texas Registered Nursing License
  • Minimum of two years of experience in Pediatric Health Care
  • Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification
  • Growing Christian
  • Must have a heart for working with children
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn new programs quickly

The Woodlands Methodist School is currently seeking candidates for substitute positions. The Woodlands Methodist School (TWMS) is a ministry of The Woodlands Methodist Church. Positions are available at the Elementary School as well as Middle School. Candidates should specify whether they would prefer to substitute at the Elementary School or Middle School. Substitutes help to provide the best possible learning environment for children while their teacher is not in the classroom. The experienced substitute will be knowledgeable about educational resources and dedicated to lifelong learning.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Each substitute must be a high school graduate; a bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • Teaching certification is a strong plus
  • Experience working with children is preferred
  • Excellent classroom management skills preferred
  • An interest in learning about working with children
